Dear ALSB Talk Members:

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Last call for the Midwest Academy of Legal Studies in
Business 1999 Annual Meeting!! The deadline for registration for the
annual meeting is October 1, 1998. This year the meeting with be held
on March 17-19th at the Palmer House Hilton, in conjunction with the
MBAA Annual Meeting.

Special sessions on this year’s program include a teaching symposium,
entitled "All-Time Favorite Cases for Legal Studies," which will be held
Thursday afternoon and will give us the opportunity to share some of our
favorite cases and the teaching strategies that go along with them.
Admission is free, but be sure to bring a case to share. Also bring 25
copies of your class materials or a short description of how you use it
in your classroom. On Friday, we’ve added a session to go along with the
MBAA’s 1999 theme: "A Century of Progress and Change." Any members who
desire to present at that special session are encouraged to note that on
their Participation Form.

On Friday, one of the agenda items at the annual business meeting will
be the election of a new Treasurer. (That is, assuming Murray Levin
follows through with his threatened resignation.) Anyone who is
interested in running for that position should contact Elizabeth
Cameron. Also be sure to remember the ever popular annual luncheon at
the Chicago Athletic Club Friday. Come one, come all!!

Remember, the MALSB offers several ways for you to participate in the
annual meeting, including refereed proceedings, discussant and regular
track paper presentations, session chairperson, and more! If you would
like more information about the Annual MALSB meeting Chicago on March
17-19, DON'T DELAY! Contact:
