Hi All,

Mike Bixby from Boise State just emailed the following to me:

"I just came across this interesting recent speech by Nobel prize winner Jose Ramos-Horta from East Timor--definitely third world. He is scheduled to speak at Boise State University on human rights next week and this recent speech of his was forwarded by the organizing committee and my colleague Mark Buchanan. He makes a lot of sense, it seems to me--both as to the terrorist attack and motivation, and other matters as well. Perhaps our members would be interested in his remarks."

I am attaching that speech as a possible reply to the article I earlier posted. It has helped, to some degree, to answer my questions and quandries.

Dan

The only thing I can add to what Frank and Ginny said is this: Their
actions are based on a fundamentally irrational belief system.
