Dean Search

College of Business
Florida State University

COB DEAN SEARCH IN FINAL STAGE

Four finalists have been selected for the position of Dean of the College of
Business at Florida State University. The Dean Search Committee and an
outside consultant group, Academic Search Consultant Services, selected the
finalists from across the nation. The four finalists include:

    * Caryn L. Beck-Dudley, J.D., Dean, College of Business, Utah State
University;
    * Kenneth R. Evans, Ph.D., Associate Dean of Graduate Studies and
Research and Pinkney C. Walker Professor of Marketing, University of
Missouri - Columbia;
    * Daniel E. Innis, Ph.D., Dean, College of Business, Public Policy, and
Health, University of Maine; and
    * Pamela L. Perrewe, Ph.D., Jim Moran Professor of Management, College
of Business, Florida State University

The finalists were invited to FSU for campus visits in early November and a
recommendation was submitted to the Provost for his consideration. A
decision is expected shortly.

The position of Dean was vacated with the resignation of Melvin T. Stith,
who left FSU to take the helm at Syracuse University's Whitman School of
Management. Interim Dean E. Joe Nosari, formerly the Associate Dean of
Administration and professor of finance for the FSU College of Business, is
filling the position until a permanent dean is appointed.
