Yes, I'm from the frozen north as well (Twin Cities, known for having
earring frostbite advisories), but I long ago perfected the ability to
assure the Dean with a straight face that I was truly motivated by the
quality of the meeting and convenience of scheduling with regard to
missing classes, and that it was just coincidence the meetings were in
California.
I know there is superb company and intellect at all the ALSB
meetings-that's why I'm having to resort to such factors as interesting
locations to narrow down my choices!
