Thanks Lee for the great suggestion. I guess I'll let the airfares
dictate and enjoy the drive.Airtran has pretty good fares cross country.
Monterey is one of the most beautiful places on earth, at least in my
view...

I've flown to WALSB for at least 20 years. It's literally one of the
most senic places in the country. Historically, I've preferred flying
directly to Monterey. Because of increased expense, however, in recent
years I've flown to San Francisco and driven down to Monterey, either by
the freeway (1 1/2 hours) or by the senic highway--U.S.1 (take as long
as you can). Even if you fly to Monterey, rent a car if at all possible
and spend some time before or after the meeting driving around. Good
regional!
