I did. Frogs don't have a middle finger. They have only four sort-of
digits. So what's the problem?

But, alas, I am getting old. What is the world coming to when people
have a constitutional right to make obscene gestures at the police?
Can I do this to my class and claim constitutional protection? [Would
I do that?]

Finally, I am reminded that when I was an adolescent in Oklahoma,
the obscene finger gesture was the pinkie and forefinger, which [I
learned many years later in Austin] is none other than the University
of Texas "hook 'em horns" gesture. I guess they picked it up at OU-
Texas weekend. One state's obscene gesture is another man's
patriotic symbol.
