I think the College of Charleston School of Business and Economics tendered the idea of a tuition differential last year but had to withdraw it. Non business faculty across campus are not keen on the higher salaries b faculty pull in.

The Tippie College of Business at the University of Iowa has just received permission to charge differential tuition for our students. At present, the undergrads pay a technology fee that goes for technology update and related costs in the College. The new tuition source will be used for that which affects undergraduates, including hiring more advising staff and adding faculty lines in departments with high undergraduate demand.

Loyola Marymount University does not have differential tuition for the undergrad business program. The MBA program (and the law school as well) is priced higher than programs in liberal arts, fine arts, engineering and education.

ALSB Colleagues: I just read an article on the BusinessWeek webpage that causes me to inquire whether or not your schools of business have implemented a differential tuition scheme for its undergraduate majors and if so, what the consequences have been.
I am attaching the article for those of you interested in this issue.
