Greetings, Colleagues:

Please join the Positive Change Core for a special conversation and dialogue
about The Center for Courage and Renewal. Our special guest/subject matter
expert will be Parker J. Palmer, Ph.D.

For forty years, Dr. Palmer has written and spoken about subjects ranging
from contemplation to community, the inner life to public life, education to
social change. He is known as one of the nation's most thoughtful voices,
calling us all to ways of being in the world that honor the human heart and
promote a humane society. Recently he stated:

"New leadership is needed for new times, but it will not come from finding
more wily ways to manipulate the external world. It will come as we who
serve and teach and lead find the courage to take an inner journey toward
both our shadows and our light-a journey that, faithfully pursued, will take
us beyond ourselves to become healers of a wounded world."

By special arrangement, Dr. Palmer will be speaking with members of the
Positive Change Core (http://www.positivechangecore.org/) -- and others that
wish to join the conference call -- about the "circle of trust" work they
are doing around the country (in 30 states and 50 cities), helping people in
a variety of vocations "rejoin soul and role": teachers, administrators,
politicians, physicians, clergy, lawyers, philanthropists, and the like.

People planning to join the call are urged to visit the website of the
Center for Courage & Renewal (http://www.couragerenewal.org/) for more
information.

. We will meet on October 18, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. - 3:00 p.m. East Coast time
in United States.
. Phone number: 508-995-6619 pin 102

There will be time for your ideas and questions about this important topic
and its role in our work.

Dr. Palmer is a most engaging and thoughtful speaker. He has deeply
influenced my life through his body of work. I have had the pleasure of
learning with him during the past few years.

Space is limited. Please RSVP to confirm your space on the call with an
