Subject: ALSB student paper competition

Hi Mike,

Greetings from chilly Minnesota. I hope your are having a good semester.

I have a student interested in writing a paper for the ALSB student paper competition. Do you have a set of rules/guidelines for the papers or for the competition that you could send me?

Thanks

Rick Kunkel

A student is eligible as long as they have not started graduate school. Many of our student papers are from students who wrote the paper as seniors and have graduated in May or June prior to our August meeting and are about to commence graduate studies.

Subject: student paper presentation

Hi everyone,

A senior of mine is working on an independent study paper that has some real potential. She will graduate in May of 2010. Is she in anyway eligible to present her paper in Richmond in August 2010? She's eager to attend the conference and present and I'd like to find a way to get her there (even if it means she falls outside the student paper competition).

Best,
