SMSU classes usually start about Aug. 25 or 26 (with summer school
classes ending about Aug. 4).   So one of the two middle weeks of
August is the BEST time for the ALSB meeting in my schedule.   The
second week is probably preferable to the third,  as there are meetings
on the Thurs. and Fri.  before classes.   This year's timing will give me
"an excuse" to skip those meetings.
