I thank all of you who have taken the initiative with this new interest
group/?future section. What is being described sounds really exciting.

Someone asked me what it takes to form a section, and I have to confess,
I don't know the precise process. Dan Herron is away till next week, so
my usual source is absent. However, I know although there are some
specific requirements the intent of which is to ensure that viable
proposals get accepted. ie there is no great bureaucracy to it all but
just the necessary process to ensure there really is the requisite
degree of interest, commitment etc.

I believe Ross Petty and ? Lucille Ponte were the last people to be
involved in seeing new sections come into being (marketing and ADR -- my
apologies to the others whom I know were also involved). Maybe they can
give some advice here. Otherwise, I'm sure Dan can provide more
information when he gets back.

Thanks again to those who have chosen to take on this task.

Sally
