What terrible news.

                                Ray seemed so full of life and energy
just a few
        days ago in Canada. What an utterly charming and supportive
colleague he
        was. That rare combination of brains and bonhomie.

                                (Without his work the Int. Section
simply would
        not have functioned.)

                                This is a sad morning.
