Question - What should be the role of empirical research (both quantitative and
qualitative) in the ALSB? I am currently preparing a piece for the Academy th
at is the theoretical framework for my dissertation. (I am examining the role
of in-house attorneys in the strategic decision making processes of the firm.)
Obviously I am in favor of the ALSB (and the ABLJ) accepting both traditional
legal articles as well as empirical pieces examining how the law and business i
nteract. Does the domain statement of the Academy address this?
