Our Westlaw was cut several years ago due to budget and replaced with Westlaw campus. Not nearly as good as Westlaw.

I’m sorry to hear that Westlaw is threatened. No Westlaw is cheap, but you can contact an educational sales representative from Westlaw. There are many ways to custom price a Westlaw service. You may be able to purchase a la carte databases and keep the price low. IMHO, the two most important resources are 1) state/federal cases and 2) law reviews.

Subject: Cutting Westlaw? Alternatives?
Hi Colleagues,
I’ve never used the “!” feature in email (high importance) and I’m not going to now. (I tell my students that three times in their entire lives they can use double exclamation point.) However, my University is looking around for ways to cut expenses, and they have Westlaw in their sites. That’s not acceptable! I use it almost every day, sometimes for hours. If I did use the “!” feature, I would for this missive to you.
What are your schools doing on this issue? What alternatives might there be to the present expensive subscription to Westlaw?
Thanks.
Dan
