ALSB's Employment Law Section is delighted to announce that the Honorable Wendy Beetlestone will address our August 9, 2015 luncheon meeting. Judge Beetlestone's judicial appointment to the Eastern District of Pennsylvania was confirmed by the U.S. Senate in November 2014. Prior to taking the bench, Judge Beetlestone was a shareholder at the law firm of Hangley, Aronchick, Segal, Pudlin & Schiller, where she litigated a variety of commercial matters including employment discrimination and employment law issues. Her remarks will draw on her experiences as a litigator as well as a judge. Judge Beetlestone’s talk will provide her judicial perspective on the current and emerging trends in employment and labor law in Pennsylvania. She will discuss statistics on employment cases in the Eastern District, the ways in which employment cases generally proceed, and implications for practitioners and scholars. It promises to be a high-value presentation.
