Happy New Year, and Welcome Back!!! I hope that your winter break was restful, and that you are ready to attack the semester.

As the semester commences, I wanted to send an email with several updates and events:

Annual Martin Luther King, Jr. Day Celebration 
Miami University will observe Martin Luther King Jr. Day with a peace march and commemoration program with speaker Sharon Draper (Miami MAT '73) Monday, Jan. 16. The peace march will begin at 10 a.m., starting at the Uptown Parks in Oxford and ending at Hall Auditorium. The program will begin at 11 a.m. in Hall Auditorium. Draper is a New York Times best-selling author, five-time winner of the Coretta Scott King Book Award, an Ohio Teacher of the Year and a National Teacher of the Year (1997). She will present “A Man. A Memory. A Mountaintop." In her presentation, Draper will discuss King’s influence on her life, his importance to future generations and the responsibility of contributing to that future. Draper will also speak at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 17, in the Sesquicentennial Chapel, on “A Blueprint for Dreamers.”

Our very own Celeste Didlick-Davis, PhD student in the Educational Leadership Program, will be delivering the keynote address at the United Way’s African American Leadership Initiative: The Herbert R. Brown Society Breakfast Speaker Series.

The 39th Annual Career and Job Fair @ The Ohio State University
Office of Diversity and Inclusion's 39th Annual Career & Job Fair at The Ohio State University, in collaboration with OSU's Student Life.  You can help us greatly by posting the attached flyer and pushing the forward button on this e-mail to all on your list-serves who would benefit. 

~~THE FAIR~~
The Fair is set for Wednesday, FEBRUARY 1 in the Archie Griffin Ballrooms of the Ohio Union, 1739 North High Street (Columbus), from 11:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. All must come 'dressed for success', with plenty of résumés!! The non-OSU per person registration fee is $5.00.

~~PRE/ON-SITE REGISTRATION~~
Several hundred potential fair-goers have already pre-registered via the form attached (also available on the website). Completing the form and forwarding it to us prior to January 27 will enhance the onsite process on February 1. The reg fee is payable at the door.  To pre-register, print the form, complete and email to [log in to unmask] - or download the registration form at http://odi.osu.edu/ and to the right under News & Events, click on "2012 ODI Career and Job Fair".  Otherwise, registration on-site on February 1 is surely welcomed.
