1) Graduate Student Support Group
This is a graduate student group where you can meet and discuss anything
from relationships, academics or other things causing stress or anxiety.
Consider coming together with your peers. Flyer is attached.

2) Productive Writer
Do you have writing goals for your thesis or dissertation in the New Year?
Have you resolved to be a more productive writer in 2013? If so, join our
community of writers by subscribing to the Productive Writer listserv to
receive emails twice a month with advice and strategies for becoming a
more productive writer.
Sponsored by the Cornell Graduate School, the Productive Writer is free
and open to all, especially graduate student’s writing papers, proposals,

3) Opportunity Targeted Hire Program @ Indiana State University
This targeted program created to increase the diversity of faculty at ISU.
There are faculty, post-doc positions, and others open to ABD candidates

4) U.S. Department of State Scholarships – Boren Fellowships – Fulbright
Scholarship Program

5) Neil deGrasse Tyson “Science as a Way of Knowing”
Dr Tyson is currently the director of the Hayden Planetarium. As a science
communicator Tyson regularly appears on television, radio and other media
outlet. He hosted the educational science television show NOVA ScienceNow
on PBS. He graduated from the Bronx High School of Science, BS in Physics
from Harvard University and a PhD in Astrophysics from Columbia University
in 1991.

6) Terrell Strayhorn “Living While Black: Real Talk about Race and Social
Progress in the US”
Dr Strayhorn is a professor, author and scholar and phenomenal speaker. He
is currently at the Ohio State University, College of Education and Human
Ecology. You will miss a treat if you miss his presentation. See the
attached flyer.

7) Horizons – MU Multicultural Graduation Celebration
Participate in this celebration of your academic accomplishments! This is
an intimate opportunity to enjoy your success and receive an

Daemen College (Amherst, NY) will host an International Research Forum
April 21-25, 2013. The guest institution is the Universidad Autónoma de
Coahuila in Saltillo, Mexico.
