Well-Wishes Graduate Students

This message is in regards to the recent injustice against the Black community, American youth and all of humanity that has taken place in Jena, Louisiana. If you are not informed of what has been occurring since December 2006, please go to the following websites to educate yourself on an issue that should be important to all those who care about this country, our youth and justice:

As many of you may know the sentencing of Mychale Bell of the Jena 6 is on Thursday September 20, 2007. A group of undergraduate students are trying to raise money to take a bus down to Louisiana for the national protest prior to sentencing. The Graduate Students of Color would like to make a formal donation to support these students. If you are interested in making a donation please contact:

I know this is short notice but please have donations by Tuesday. Any amount counts and will be helpful! Also regardless if you make a donation or not we are asking everyone to wear black on Thursday September 20, 2007 in support of the Jena 6.
