> Hello ASU and all friends of ASU,
> I'm sending out some information on this coming weekend festivities so
we can all be on
the same page. In terms of meetings related to the final preparations,
there will be a few
so please attend those that you can.
>
> 1) If you would like to or plan on doing a presentation or a
perfomance, come to the
meeting led by Eva that will be held at Brill Science Library at 5:30pm
on Thursday.
> 2) If you have decorations you might be able to lend us for the event,
please bring them
to lower alexander on Friday (April 2, 2004) at 4pm. At that time, we
will start cleaning
and decorating the room.
> 3) There will be a general meeting for all members and friends of ASU
starting at 6pm. on
Friday (April 2, 2004). The only change will be that instead of it being
at Shidler, we
will hold this meeting in Lower Alexander, that way, if you won't be able
to bring
decorations or music earlier, you can drop them off. It is important that
everyone attend
because Dr. Yeboah (The Patron of ASU) will be there to address us.
Please be on time!
>
> Apart from meeting times, I'm still requesting that people aid us in
terms of food and
decorations and music. If you would like to prepare a meal, please seek
out Kizito. For
those who have already planned to bring a dish, we request that you
create a small label
to indicate where the food came from and some of it's ingridients to help
out the servers
and make it convinient for our guests. Also, please make a label for your
decorations for
the same purpose plus it will help us return each thing to the right
owner. For those who
have been with us through the whole planning, thank you so much and I'm
looking foward to
this event. See you all at the meetings.

> P.S.
> People have expressed an interest in having an after-party. For those
who would like to
continue the festivities, there is a plan to go to Mondiale(a club in
Cincinati that plays
African music) afterwards. This is just a heads-up for those who would
like to consider
joining those who will go.
