Everyone, please be mindful of events that are happening this week.
Tuesday, February 21: Men of African Descent Retreat (6pm Shriver Center
Heritage Room) The deadline for RSVP has passed, but call 529-6504 as
soon as possible to see if they can accomodate you.
Wednesday, February 22: Student Achievement in Research and Scholarship
(STARS) Presentation Session (6 pm Shriver Center Benjamin Harrison Room)
The STARS program is a statewide program that prepares high-achieving
underrepresented minority students for graduate school. The students
complete a research project and present it at an annual state conference.
The Miami STARS program is coordinated by myself and Dr. Evans. This
Wednesday the students will present their research in preparation for the
state conference in two weeks. We are asking that graduate students
please come out to support these burgeoning researchers and help them to
perfect their presentation styles. There are some interesting
presentations and I've attatched the agenda for the evening.
