Make a Difference Day Information Email:

I am writing to invite your organization to participate in Make a Difference Day.  Created by USA WEEKEND Magazine, Make a Difference Day is an annual community service event that takes place around the country.

On Saturday, October 27, volunteers will be helping out all over Oxford at places such as the Family Resource Center, the Senior Center, and the Oxford Community Arts Center.  The day's activities will range from raking leaves to gardening to helping out at the Oxford Parks and Recs Kite Festival.

Projects are currently in the process of being organized, and the times and places will be announced at a later date.  Right now, we need students and organizations to volunteer for this event.  You tell us how many people can help out on Saturday, October 27 for a few hours in the morning or early afternoon (10 am-3 pm), and we will assign you (by preference) to a project as the information becomes available.
