******************************************
The Sidney Daily News in Sidney, Ohio is seeking journalism and
photojournalism interns for the summer of 2012.
The Sidney Daily News is an 11,000 daily located 35 miles north of Dayton on
I-75 in western Ohio. As a community newspaper, the emphasis is on local
news, sports, photos and features. A balance of state, national and world
news is also carried via the AP dispatch.
While the internships are not paid, they do guarantee a wealth of hands-on
experience. Daily News interns do not file or run for coffee; they help
cover breaking news of the day on a variety of fronts, in addition to
handling feature story and photo assignments. Upon completion, an intern
invariably departs with new skills, plenty of meaningful clips and access to
professional references.
Interested candidates should submit resumes now via email to Executive
Editor Jeff Billiel at [log in to unmask], or via surface mail to 1451
N.Vandemark Road, Sidney, OH 45365.
