ACES -- the American Copy Editors Society -- awards several scholarships
each year. They range from $1,000 to $2,500.

Application deadline is Oct. 15.

The ACES Web site says:
"All ACES scholarships are for potential professional copy editors. The
scholarships are open to students who will be juniors, seniors or graduate
students in the fall, and graduating students who will take full-time copy
editing jobs or internships."
