                                         PLEASE ANNOUNCE TO STUDENTS

         Sorry to bother you a second time, but I forgot to mention
the room in the first memo.


         On Tuesday, Feburary 3rd at 4 pm, there will be a meeting at
4 pm In the Bachelor Reading Room to discuss and explain the new
creative writing major.   This should be of especial interest to
freshman and sophomores who are considering majoring in creative
writing.  There are quite a few new courses and changed requirements
for the major.  The new major will be required for anyone entering
Miami next year, but is an option for current students.   Please
announce this to your students.

         Then, following that meeting, at 4:45, there will be an
informational meeting to explain application proceedures for the new  5
year B.A./M.A  in creative writing.   This should be of great
interest to current majors in their sophomore and junior years.
Again, please announce this to any students who may be interested.
