Now that summer is almost over, it's time for the journalism department to
get excited for a great year with a brand new program!

The Society of Professional Journalists is an organization on campus that
works closely with professors in the journalism and communication
department, as well as area media, to bring diverse, interesting programs
to students. This group not only looks great on a resume, but can provide
contacts in the business that are invaluable when looking for a job,
internship or filling out grad school applications...

SPJ is now looking for enthusiastic, dedicated students to help organize
and promote programming. If interested, please send contact information,
including your class schedule this semester to the best of your knowledge,
and a brief explanation of why you would like to be an SPJ officer.
Material to join the chapter will also be available on the SPJ bulletin
board across from the English office in Bachelor Hall when classes begin.

Positions available:
Vice President
Treasurer
Public Relations Chair
Hospitality Chair

Please contact me if you need additional information on time commitments
or duties.

Thanks!

Leah Rupp
President, SPJ
