Hope you'll make time to attend two journalism-related events next week:

Author/print/TV journalist Peter Bergen, will present ³10 Years Later: How
9/11 Changed America's Place in the World,² Monday, Sept. 12, 8 p.m., Hall
Auditorium, as guest of Lecture Series. Bergen most recently wrote "The
Longest War: The Enduring Conflict Between America and Al-Qaeda." Tickets
(free but required) are available now at the Shriver Center box office.

Monica Whitlock, radio documentarian, former BBC reporter and creator of a
2010 documentary called ³Through the Looking Glass: The Andijan Massacre,²
will speak Thursday, Sept. 15, 5:30 p.m. in the MacMillan Hall Great Room,
as a guest of the History Department. She will show and discuss her
55-minute film, which tells the story of the May 2005 protests and killings
in the east Uzbekistan city of Andijan.
