The application deadline for the Poynter Institute's terrific Summer
Fellowships for Young Journalists is quickly approaching. You have until
Nov. 15 to put your bid in for one of the premiere programs in the country
-- one that truly launches careers.

Miami's counts May 06 grad JD Malone as a Poynter Fellow. We'd love to send
another top student this year.

Keep in mind, too, that the deadlines for the bigger summer media
internships are typically in November and December. Now is the time to get
busy on that hit list. May 2008 will be here before you know it.
