Enter for the Mark of Excellence Awards!

Annually, the Society of Professional Journalists presents the Mark of
Excellence Awards honoring the best in student journalism. The awards offer
39 categories for print, radio, television and online collegiate journalism.
Entries are first judged on the regional level, with winners moving on to
the national competition.  

DEADLINE: Jan 21, 2009

REQUIREMENTS: You must be enrolled in a college or university and the work
has to have been published or broadcast in 2008.

ENTRY FEES: It costs $9 per entry for current SPJ members and $18 for
non-members. However, MU-SPJ is offering an early bird special! SPJ will
cover $3 of the fee if you turn your entries in to Patricia Gallagher
Newberry (c/o JRN office, Bachelor Hall 260) with cash or checks made out to
MU-SPJ before 4pm December 12th.
