Hello JRN Students,

As you prepare to register for fall semester classes please consider COM 267 - Practicum in Electronic Media Production.

Students can earn between one and three hours non-graded credit in COM 267. For each hour of credit there is a corresponding number of hours required outside of class. In the past, the class has been largely filled by Mass Com students but I would like to invite any JRN student interested in television production to consider the course.

The class will be producing material for MUTV Cable Channel 15. The size and scope of productions is quite varied and can be tailored to your interests. I do know that the class will be helping to produce the weekly football coaches show in the fall. Students will also help produce more mini-episodes of the now hugely popular "Miami Myth Busters."

There are many exciting new things happening now with regard to MUTV. Consider becoming a part of this- we'll meet Mondays from 12:44- 1:35 in Williams 107C.

Pre-req is com 211 or previous electronic media production experience and permission of instructor.

Questions? Please ask.

Joe Sampson
