Here are the instructions from the MU Knowledge Base on how to leave or
join a listserv. These are good to tuck away so you'll have them when you
need them!

To leave a LISTSERV list using e-mail:

1.      Open your e-mail application and create a new message. Make sure the
“From:” address reflects the e-mail address with which you are subscribed
to the list.

2.      In the “To:” field, type: [log in to unmask]

3.      In the main message body, type:
unsubscribe listname

listname is the 32-character-or-less name of the list

Note: No additional information is needed in this command, LISTSERV
determines your name and email address from your message.

To join a LISTSERV list using e-mail:

the list.

2.      In the To: field, type: [log in to unmask]

subscribe listname realname

listname is the 32-character-or-less name of the list
realname is your full name
