Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ): Attacks on the Press, 1998
http://www.cpj.org/attacks/attacks_index.html

This annual report of the CPJ documents worldwide physical and
political abuses of journalists. The report provides information on
journalists murdered or imprisoned; the ten worst offending political
leaders; special reports on the treatment of the press in Nigeria,
Latin America, Southeast Asia, Algeria, and the Republics of the
former Soviet Union; previous annual reports; an annotated listing of
germane CPJ publications; a review of the 1998 International Press
Freedom Awards; and a discussion of how CPJ investigates and
classifies attacks. "The Committee to Protect Journalists is a
nonpartisan organization of journalists dedicated to the defense of
press freedom around the world."
