Graduating seniors and other recent grads with an interest in the book and
magazine publishing world may want to check out the Columbia School of
Journalism Publishing Course at

Formerly known as the Radcliffe Publishing Course, this primo program offers
a deep immersion in the publishing work, completed over six weeks in the
summer.

Applications are being accepted now through March 21. Cost is +/- $8K.

I just reviewed the program Web site -- after learning about it through
brochures and posters in Bachelor Hall -- and am hugely impressed over the
line up of classes and speakers. This would be a definite career launcher
for anyone hoping to make it in big city publishing.
