SPECIAL POST-PROGRAM FEATURE
Students and faculty are invited to attend a special screening of a PBS
“Frontline” documentary titled “A Dangerous Business” after the SPJ
program. “A Dangerous Business” is the work of Lowell Bergman, who won a
Pulitzer Prize in 2004 as co-author of a New York Times’ series of the
same name about the dangers of the cast iron sewer and water pipe
industry. Mr. Bergman will be among the guests for the Journalism
Program’s Sept. 19 event, “Missing in Action: Why Investigative Reporting
is in Decline When the Stakes are So High.”
