Several students have asked about ways to review grammar and punctuation
rules before the next journalism program admissions test, Oct. 22.

We recommend going to http://www.longleaf.net/newsroom101/ and trying
the
exercises there. This Web site is a great resource because you get an
explanation for every right answer!

If you want to add a good journalism grammar book to your reference
collection, try "When Words Collide" by Lauren Kessler and Duncan
McDonald
or "Working with Words" by Brian Brooks et al.

If you are interested in a review session run by an actual human being,
please reply to this message or let Sacha Bellman, Cheryl Gibbs or Judi
Hetrick know of your interest.
