Congrats to three Miami JRN students for placing as finalists in the Region 4 SPJ conference today in Columbus:

JM Rieger (13 grad) in the in-depth newspaper category for "Athletic spending increases while academic spending remains flat," written for The Miami Student.
Amanda Schumaker in the radio category for "A lifetime of honey bees," produced for the Miami public radio project.
Nicole Theodore in the in-depth online category for "Anniversary of Srebrenica hits home for many in Kosovo," produced during the Kosovo Program for KosovoLive.
