Hello JRN Students,
It is short notice, but I have been asked to share the following from Miami's News and Public Info & Marketing Office: (it is looking for students with video production experience to help shoot an event related to Homecoming Saturday. If interested please contact Claire Wagner this afternoon for more info. Her email is [log in to unmask]
Claire's note to me follows:
Alumni and several groups on campus are planning a “flash mob”: the faux-spontaneous dance scenes that I presume you’ve seen on YouTube or elsewhere, before the football game, on the lawn of Millett tomorrow (homecoming Saturday).
They have some folks taking video but would love to have a couple more for various angles.
Goal, in addition to getting the folks involved to attend the game, is to end up with a spot on Miami’s YouTube page and to share in other light-marketing ways.
Of course, the thing is not to be publicized before it happens.
Is it possible you’d ask some students if they’re willing and able About 10:30 or 11 a.m. Til 12:15. I think the dance starts at 11:45 but Sue Harris, one of the organizers would like people a little before that.
I can send layout, etc., if someone is interested.
Thanks!
Claire
