Opportunity for a great summer internship and a great summer in many ways.

The Chautauquan Daily is looking for excellent news and feature writers,
photographers, page designers and copy editors for summer 2008.

The newspaper of the Chautauqua Institution, the Daily keeps Chautauquans
informed of prominent speakers; performing and visual arts presentations;
and religion and recreation activities throughout the summer.

The Chautauqua Institution, located in the southwest corner of New York
State, is dedicated to lifelong learning.  Itšs programs aim to renew the
spirit, stimulate the mind, value the arts, and promote physical well-being.

The institutionšs famed lecture platform each day has well-known speakers
discussing major contemporary issues.  During the evenings, therešs the
symphony, ballet, opera, theater, visual arts and popular entertainers.

Internships at the Daily run from June 10 to Aug. 22.

Reporting interns get $1,900; copy editors $2,000; photographers $1,900;
designers $2,100. The interns also get to live on the institutionšs grounds.
