Journalism Students,
As Richard Campbell's earlier note indicated, Com 211 is now open for JRN
students to take. Not only will this class meet two of your IMS
requirements, as Dr. Campbell's note says, but it also serves as an
important pre-req for several upper level broadcast jrn courses (see
below)
Three sections of 211 are being offered during the upcoming spring
semester. Anyone with an interest in visual jrn is strongly encouraged to
consider the class.
More about class:
Com 211 is a four credit hour course that provides journalism students
with a basic working knowledge of audio and video production techniques
and approaches. Through a series of studio and field exercises and
assignments, Com 211 students will develop an understanding of the
relationship between production technique and reporting content.
The course serves as an important pre-requisite for several upper-level
broadcast journalism courses including JRN 314 and 415. In addition, the
course serves as a solid foundation for student involvement in Miami
University Television (MUTV).
All journalism students with an interest in broadcast journalism beyond
JRN 202 are strongly encouraged to register for this class.
Questions can be directed to Joe Sampson ([log in to unmask])
