TO: JRN students
FROM: Richard Campbell, Director, JRN Program
RE: JRN events

I just wanted to remind you of two good events next week:

Panel, "Censored: The Growing Threat to College Journalists," Tues., Nov.
14 at 5 p.m. in BAC 254, with Richard Goehler, Cincinnati attorney; Barb
Morgenstern, JRN and media law instructor; Richard Little, MU's director of
communications, and Allison Kolodziej, editor of Miami Student.

Lecture, "Truman Capote & IN COLD BLOOD: The Making of a Non-Fiction
Novel," Nov. 16, at 4 p.m. in BAC 102, by Jim Tobin, former Detroit News
reporter and author of ERNIE PYLE'S WAR: AMERICA'S EYEWITNESS TO WWII, TO
CONQUER THE AIR: THE WRIGHT BROTHERS AND THE GREAT RACE FOR FLIGHT, and
GREAT PROJECTS: THE EPIC STORY OF THE BUILDING OF AMERICA ... (a companion
book to the award-winning PBS documentary series).

Please come ... and bring a friend.
