If you are considering applying for a summer internship with a news
organization of any size, you should be polishing your resume, drafting
your cover letter and getting your portfolio into shape now. Many of
the largest newspapers, magazines and broadcast outfits request
applications between Nov. 1 and Dec. 31. Now is the time to create your
hit list and get your materials in order. Be sure to visit the Web site
of your desired summer employers to determine their application
deadlines.

For help with the process, check out any of the following and link to
their job listings and/or job tips pages:
www.studentpress.org/acp
www.journalismjobs.com
www.freep.com/jobspage
www.journalism.org
www.poynter.org
www.spj.com

Individual media companies post listings as well, but those are
typically for FT jobs for grads or professionals. But their sites often
have internship links, too.

Happy hunting!

Patti

P.S.S. Apologies if this msg showed up twice. A little tech glitch on
my part.
