        Immediate opening -- Cincinnati Enquirer:
The paper is looking for a web person to handle web news for the
first editions each day. What this means is they need someone with good
news judgment who can look over the daily paper as it comes off the press
and decide what stories need to be posted on line. Emphasis with this job
is on journalism skills and news value knowledge. Web experience is
helpful, but they will train you. Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop is also a
plus. The job is from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., not great hours. But a foot in the
door at the 325,000 circulation paper out of college isn't bad, folks. Pay
isn't certain but reasonable expectation place it mid-20s. They are wanting
to fill this job ASAP. It helps to be an independent worker and have sound
news skills since you will be essentially putting the web site together
when the rest of us are in bed.
We're the first university they are approaching with this job, so
anyone who contacts Greg Noble at the Enquirer [log in to unmask] should
mention that you got this via Miami University journalism program and Jeff
Tindall, a web guru at the Enquirer.
        Good luck.

Kevin
