Dear JRN students,

For those of you who missed the first organizational meeting for the new Kosova summer program, there will be a second meeting Tuesday, Feb. 12, at 5 p.m. in BAC 346.

In this 8-credit, 8-week summer opportunity that features an advanced geography course on the Balkans, students will develop their ability as journalistic storytellers while learning about the people of Kosova -- their lives, their culture, their history, the challenges they are facing.  They will have the rare opportunity to witness and tell the story of history unfolding as Kosova becomes a free, independent nation and Kosovars begin building a new country.

The cost for students compares very favorably with other summer study abroad programs offered by Miami, particularly since this one is about 2 weeks longer than most.
