If you are planning on attending the first Lecture Series event of the
semester, remember you'll need to get tickets (free, but required) at
Shriver Box Office beginning tomorrow. Jon Landau, producer of Titanic and
Avatar, will present "From Titanic to Avatar: Where is Technology Taking
Hollywood?" on Monday (Oct. 11) at 8 p.m. at Hall Auditorium.

Also of interest, President David Hodge will present his annual address to
the Miami community at 4 p.m. Thursday at Hall Auditorium.

Also on Thursday, at 5:30 p.m. In Harrison Hall 204, Former MU President
James Garland will speak about his new book, "Saving Alma Mater: A Rescue
Plan for America's Public Universities."
