Hello!
I just got a call from a friend and Miami alum who says they're looking for
a general assignment reporter at his paper, the Wausau (Wisc.) Daily Herald.
Minimum qualification: A bachelor's degree. Internship experience with a
professional news organization is preferred.
To apply, send your resume, your clips/work samples either on paper or in
electronic form (preferably as PDFs) and the link to your online portfolio
(if you have one) to:
Pete Wasson, Assistant Managing Editor for Public Service
The Wausau Daily Herald
800 Scott Street
Wausau, WI 54402
If you have any questions about the paper, I'd be glad to talk with you.
They have two Miami alums working there, including Pete, who got his start
at the Miami Student, then worked for the Richmond Palladium-Item (where I
was his first city editor) before he moved to Wausau. I've been up there to
visit him and his wife, Sarah, and it's beautiful country.
Cheryl
