        JOB NOTICE -- Roto-Rooter of Cincinnati is looking for an assistant
manager of marketing communications. This is an entry level position in the
marketing department and the person will assist in the development and
execution of the company's public relations and media efforts. Must have
demonstrated skills in writing, editing, be creative and experience with
Pagemaker, Microsoft Word and Excel. Video experience is helpful. No salary
listed.

        INTERSHIPS -- The Miami Univeristy Physical Facilities is looking
for someone with strong writing and editing skills to help them with
in-house materials, including designing and writing for brochures, flyers,
etc. Hours are flexible and it is a paid position. Contact Esther
Geiermann, manager of training and staff development, 9-7001.

        Goggin Ice Arena is looking for a public relations/marketing intern
responsible for writing press releases and assisting with marketing
efforts. Journalism majors are encouraged to apply, but hurry. Also, the
arena is looking for a PR/electronic media intern to help with web sites
and electronic marketing. Call Goggin and ask for Mitch or Chris, 9-3343.

        The Ohio General Assembly is in need of interns for next year, You
must be a graduate by December 1999 and be willing to spend 13 months in
Columbus interning with senators and delegates and their press offices. The
deadline for this internship is April 15 and the pay is $21,500 for the
year.  There will be 23 hired in the state in this program. There are a
number of requirements for this application including a biography. If

        U.S. Congressman John Boehner of the Oxford district is always
interested in Miami University students to work in his office. If you would
like to apply for a position as an intern and serve the congressman in
Washington, you should contact his chief of staff, Barry Jackson.
Journalism students would be considered for assisting in press relations,
