INTERNSHIP OPPORTUNITY


United Way of Greater Cincinnati, one of the strongest United Ways in the
country, is offering an exciting and unique opportunity for a student to
work as a Development Intern from August ­ October, 2008.

As an intern, you will have the opportunity to network with CEO¹s, engage
high level executives in community related issues, work with hundreds of
donors and community leaders, and use your skills in public speaking by
making presentations.

The intern will assist in the implementation of the 2008 annual fundraising
campaign by managing effective workplace campaigns at various businesses and
organizations across the region.  In the 2007 annual campaign, United Way of
Greater Cincinnati raised $62.8 million.  We invite you to be an integral
member of a winning team that improves people¹s lives and strengthens our
community.


Qualifications (including, but not limited to):
·      College Junior or Senior; sales experience is a plus.
·      Ability to take initiative and manage multiple projects.
·      Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a variety of
work environments.
·      Strong written and oral communication skills, including giving
effective group presentations.
·      Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
·      Must possess a valid driver¹s license and a functioning automobile.
·      Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs.
