Congratulations to senior journalism student Chris Gray, whose story
"A Season for Justice," is the cover story in the March 16-22 issue
of CityBeat. Chris originally produced the story for my Depth
Reporting capstone in the fall, marking the 40th anniversary of
Freedom Summer and chronicling the flurry of activity in the search
for justice in the 40-year-old murders of Andrew Goodman, James
Chaney and Michael Schwerner. He then revised it, on deadline, as the
state of Mississippi brought murder charges against Edgar Ray Killen
in January.
