Here's one final reminder if you've been considering applying for a staff position with The Miami Student. Applications must be placed in the envelope on the door of the newsroom at 17 MacMillan Hall by 5 p.m. today! 

If you've written for us at least five times we encourage you to apply to become a beat reporter, and if you've done extensive work in journalism you should consider applying for a position as an editor. Also, if you're interested in politics or international studies, consider applying for editorial editor.

Applications have been in the past several issues of The Student and I am attaching an application that you can print out and use if you still need one.

We're constantly looking for new contributing writers if you don't want to be involved with writing on a weekly basis. You can contact me or anyone on editorial board if you're interested. However, we will be having an informational meeting for interested students next week, so look for more details on that soon.
