Recall that last month I sent a letter to Senator Snyder regarding our
committee's view of the proposed licensure for teachers of children from birth
through age 8.  On 29 February, Senator Snyder replied as follows:

Thanks for alerting me to your concerns.  At this point the legislation is
simply to facilitate the process of considering the issues you review.  Much
work lies ahead and additional steps will be reviewed legislatively.  Your
input will be important and respected.  THis is simpy to start the process.
