I just received two items of interest from Hester Lewellen, a math
educator at Baldwin-Wallace College.
1. A six-page comparative review of the textbooks by Musser/Burger,
Long/DeTemple, and Billstein et al. This could prove useful the
next time we select a MTH 116-116 textbook.
2. A geometry test to assess a student's Van Hiele level. (In its
present format, it takes up 11 pages, so it should be re-typed
before we would use it to test more than a handful of students.)
